From an economic standpoint, it just doesn't make sense. The emotional appeal doesn't work. If there's one thing I've learned living here, it's that people literally don't give a shit about anything but themselves. If we inform them on how we impact their wallets, we might stand a chance.

Also, jobs. Americans don't want the jobs immigrants take. Americans don't last as bussers, dish washers, cooks, maids, agriculture workers, etc. Are these the jobs Trump promised them? LOL Good luck.

And if the Trump administration really is that stupid, this country will become such a hellhole economically that you won't even want to be here. So either way, we'll be okay. Try to stay positive, guys.

We already know it won't happen. Paul Ryan said it last week.

Emotional appeal does work. Remember Hillary won the popular vote so there was more people against trump than for him. Right now millenials absolutely despise everything he represenrs.

I can vouch for the housekeeping, maid, janitor jobs. They wouldn't last a week or 2 there.

I know he did, but I've read a few posts with people freaking out. As long as you're not a felon or a POS, everyone should be fine.

That's great and all, but right now Trump'a about to take office. I'm talking about appealing to those who voted for him. Emotional appeal won't work with them.

Watch as Paul Ryan talks him into passing immigration reform to steal the fastest growing electorate from the democrats - Latinos

They know their base is old and dying so they have to start looking where to supplement it. Black and millennial votes are a lost cause, latinos might flip though if they past amnesty

True. Latinos and African Americans are actually overall pretty religious and conservative, but they are forced to vote democrat because of the extremist wing GOP. They could totally flip those groups if they could just be a little more open-minded. If they keep doing what they're doing, they'll alienate an entire generation of young people and minorities.

Let's see if those disaffected rust belt workers will jump at the chance to work picking fruit in California's central valley in 100 degree weather
