Reports emerged Thursday*that Trump was working with House Republicans on a plan to fund the wall project through appropriations.
The president-elect has repeatedly pledged that Mexico would pay for the wall designed to keep its citizens from entering the U.S. illegally, but he tweeted early Friday morning that "for the sake of speed," other funds might be used first.
I think trump believes he can secure the border fairly quickly. I don't think that's a bad thing because it would take away the arguments made by republicans that no legalization till the border is secured.

I wonder if our allies in congress can attach some sort of daca like bill to these efforts.
