The bishops have not taken a formal stance on President Donald Trump's proposed border wall. Vasquez said the bishops are currently more concerned about supporting legislation that would continue the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which would allow qualified undocumented individuals who immigrated to the United States as minors to defer deployment for a period of two years.

I mean can we get anymore press?

he's not going to end daca... he wouldve done it today like how he signed EO's to ease and let the ACA die off... if he does end daca, there will be a replacement. i heard the audio with dick durbin, sounds legit.

But remember that he wants to do it through Congress. He might even want us to go out of the country and come back the "right" way.

i dont think so.. i think he will keep it in place till congress comes up with a solution. i dont think we will be subjected to consular processing. i predict it will be like the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986

check this out.

The Dangers of Leaving the U.S. For Consular Processing If You’ve Stayed Unlawfully

For immigrants who have lived unlawfully in the U.S. for 180 days or more, consular processing may not lead to a green card, but to a bar on returning. By leaving the U.S., they become subject to penalties for their unlawful stay. Even if they otherwise qualify for a green card, the consulate must, under the law, bar them from reentering the U.S. for three years if their unlawful stay was between 180 days and one year, or ten years if their unlawful stay was one year or more. See an attorney if you’re in this situation—there is a waiver you can apply for, but it’s difficult to get.

I think he will eventually. Or simply rebrand it. Not only to avoid bad PR but also because I think he genuinely understands our plight and is sympathetic. If he cancels daca right now he will be viewed as an egotistical tyrant that does not care about the economic interest of this country. If he puts an expiration date on it it'll help pressure congress to act and implement a broader bill with a border security provision. He will use us as leverage and it'll be a win win for both sides.

He might be somewhat sympathetic with the Dreamers but what is stronger is his will to end Obamas legacy through his EOs.
