Texas AG and other States May Sue to Stop Dreamer Amnesty but Trump Administration could find a way around it.

The Trump administration could address the issue by removing a part of the DACA program that provides a subsidy to give driver's licenses to those “lawfully present” in the U.S.

If Trump removes the “lawfully present” designation, it could take away the main reason for Texas to sue, Stephen Legomsky, a former Homeland Security lawyer, said in the Times.

good read, lmk how you interpret this.

as you know that these 10 states biggest gripe about DACA is that they subsidize tax payers money to give us Drivers Licenses... lmao

its up to the states brother, those 10 states dont want taxpayers subsidizing DLs to DACAers.

Quite frankly I don't think Trump will just end DACA without a solution. People want to say that he will slowly kill without taking any blame because he doesn't want to be seen as the bad guy. Let's be honest here, Trump doesn't care if his opponents qualifies him as bad guy. If he wanted to kill DACA he would have done it already regardless of what type of backlash he might have gotten. Check his track record, he does and do what he wants, and the fact that DACA is still standing means he honestly wants to fix the issue before ending the program,

Would he do it though??

Why didn't Obama do this before leaving?

That was suggested by someone who isn't in the administration. Not news.
