The pressure from Texas could potentially jump-start conversations about a legislative solution for people enrolled in the program, according to Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, a group that favors lower levels of immigration. But could congressional leaders find common ground? Krikorian fears Republicans might trade DACA legalization for border wall funding or relatively minor enforcement measures.

“If I were Schumer, my realistic goal would be to trade a real green card amnesty for the DACAs in exchange for several billion dollars of funding for the wall,” Krikorian told Morning Shift. “That would be a complete disaster for the White House, [and] that would be an epic failure of dealmaking ... I’m for amnesty for people like that. I just don’t want to give it away for nothing.”

Even Krikorian is rooting for this to happen. Come on Congressmen, this is the perfect opportunity! You're not going to get to pass that health care bill. After a fiasco like that you need to come up with decisive action on immigration. I would be willing to support stricter enforcement and even wall funding in exchange for legalization!

So the director of one of the most anti immigrant group is even calling for a green card amnesty for Dreamers in exchange for the wall? He even says

Republicans are scared to face the backlash democrats did when they "controlled" all branches of government. They can't blame the Dems or Obama anymore

It's ridiculous when the media and others say republicans control all three branches without explaining they are deadlocked on passing any legislation due to fillibustering in the senate. This was the same thing with the democrats.

A legislative solution is long overdue.

I hope both sides can finally agree since both get something they want
