But on Thursday, rumors spread on Capitol Hill and in the advocacy community that an announcement ― and not the one they hoped for ― could come as soon as Friday, bolstered by a report by Axios that Trump was seriously considering ending the program. On Friday, ABC News also reported that Trump is leaning toward ending DACA.
These are legit news organization. I really hope they are wrong.

I really think he's considering a few options. There are so many behind the door talks about DACA. If he was planning to cancel it, he would have tweeted it by now, just how he tweeted about the transgender military ban. We all know this is about the response and attention, so if he was going to cut the cord, we would know by now! (wishful thinking?)

I have a feeling he will end the program and allow our EADs to expire.

And what will happen in the meantime while they are expiring?

We can keep on working. Once expired, we would be unable to renew, therefore losing our jobs.

Deep down, I do not think that's going to happen. We would have known this by now!

Think about the positive anchors in this situation:

1- DACA has been around for 5 YEARS and a tiny fraction of people (in comparison to the entire immigrant community) have benefited from the program. There is NO WAY he can get away with ripping our lives apart. It would be a political disaster and USCIS/DHS nightmare.
2- There is substantial and significant support around this issue from congress, rights groups, and even those who voted for Trump. Even GOP hardliners are sympathetic towards the issue.
3- IF he was going to flat out cancel the program, I have no doubt he would have done it by now.

I disagree. I think we are going to get grandfathered.

I think so too. DACA may be cancelled, but it will go on until a law is passed for those who already have it.

Guys, it's 800k people. Literally a grain of rice in the immigrant community. Anti-immigrant activists will get over it.
