DACA hearing cancelled

The Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday postponed a scheduled hearing on a program that shields young immigrants from deportation.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) made the call to push back the hearing on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) immigration program, originally set for Wednesday.

What does this hearing do exactly? will it impact DA in any way?

Well it's not as if a hearing is necessary to get this bill passed. Let's hope Democrats are true to their word and start attaching it to bills if nothing starts moving.

This is a bad sign, cancelling a hearing of a presumably pressing issue.

This is a sign that Republicans will do anything to prevent this from happening.

I'm still not sure how important hearings are, but yea it is not a good sign. And this is why I never understood why people think it's the Democrats that are enemy.
