On Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 1:00 PM EDT Members of Congress and advocates representing the faith and business community held a press conference to bring further attention to the ongoing fight to #ProtectDREAMers. This comes after the White House released a set of hardline immigration principles that jeopardize the bi-partisan, bi-cameral progress that has been made to pass a legislative solution that will protect nearly 800,000 #DREAMers.

They spoke out against the White House's recent proposals. Nancy says that they aren't principles, they're trash.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal says the proposal from the White House was basically a love letter to white supremacists. Lol.

Rep. Michelle Lujan says that if Dems are unable to pass the Dream Act, they will attach it to must pass legislation.

Action always speaks louder than words ! It’s has been a lot of talkings ! But we have to see the actions.
I don’t know if both parties really care about solving this DACA issue. I don’t trust any GOP or Democrat politican except Senator Durbin. Senator Durbin has been fighting for us for many years now. We have seen his action . I appreciate all the works he had done

Will Democrat has the gut to shut down the government to pass Dream Act?

A lot of Republicans were waiting for the White House to release their proposals. That's done, I think we'll see Congress act soon.
