Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) is predicting Congress will be able to pass legislation this year to protect a key group of immigrants after Republicans ruled out including a deal in the December government funding bill.

"I am confident that there is strong bipartisan support in Congress to get the [DREAM Act] passed before the end of the year," Schumer said in a tweet on Thursday.

He added "we are going to do everything we can to get it done, no matter what the president says on one given day or another."

you should count the legislative days, it is actually quite short about 19 days. I believe they take 1 week off for thanksgiving.

tired of hearing all this dumb shit.
haven't seen any compromise, any actual bills introduced by way of a compromise, etc.
let them shut it down.
maybe this time they'll learn to actually be useful and the general populace will see how much time these politicians waste doing shit all.

I will be dead shit surprised if Democrats shut the government down and get a clean bill passed in a spending bill that does not include funding for border security provisions.

Dems need to attach DA + Border Security to spending

Not just clean DA

GOP will vote for it.

Senator Warren: Let me be clear: If Trump doesn’t keep his word & Congress doesn’t pass a clean Dream Act, I won’t vote for a spending bill without it.
