Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi of California and Chuck Schumer of New York appear to have backed off immigration demands they initially wanted addressed by the new year, but they're still adamant that any boosts in defense money be matched by increases in domestic spending.

They predict another short-term funding bill, leaving a broader spending and immigration agreement until January.

I seriously feel like its quite possibly there is a deal because Schumer and Pelosi have been very tight lipped since coming out of the last meeting! I just refuse to believe that they will sell us down the river like that. They've been adamant on a deal this year for us.
