Just hours before the Tuesday vote, some House Republicans fretted privately about the prospect of getting railroaded into propping up Obamacare by the end of the week. And conservatives have been stewing quietly over a looming legislative package coming in early January that most believe will increase spending and codify an Obama-era immigration program they believe is illegal.
Quote:
Even if GOP leaders iron out their government funding differences in the next three days with little drama, January is sure to be harder. While Republicans could pass tax and health care bills by themselves, negotiations on spending and immigration will require Democratic votes.

And Democrats, most lawmakers and aides on the Hill agree, have the upper-hand in those talks. That means it’s only a matter of time before Republicans cut loose their right flank. But perhaps when that happens, and the intra-party bickering reaches a new crescendo, they’ll look back to the day tax reform passed with fond memories.

Can you guys stop freaking out now?

Watch FC force a shutdown and Dems cave in Jan 19th. This will become a 2018 midterm issue. No republican will touch 'amnesty' with a 10 ft pole in a midterm year.

Shut up times are different now. Even Fox News is moderating on immigration

How so? There’s only been one article that doesn’t paint us in a bad light. Has there really been a turnaround on their part?

It definitely seems like a risky gamble if Democrats are trying to get members in red states safe by waiting until the 19th to get their way. Wouldn’t that put much more pressure in the GOP to pass whatever they want with only R votes and then put the Senste in full blast.

They can only agree to clean CRs for 2-4 weeks to avoid a shutdown. They are not going to agree on a large budget for a whole year. Eventually you have to start agreeing to numbers and passing legislation. They don’t have a consensus among just republicans.

Freedom Caucus don't care. They rather shutdown, and Dems will just cave.

If you can disregard any positive news with a speculation, any bad news can equally be disregarded the same.
Everyone needs to relax and do what they can for now and wait for more solid news to unfold.
