re #DACA, Flake told Pence over dinner in Nov. that he would vote for tax reform—in exchange for the White House enacting permanent protections for DREAMers. Pence made the promise then and there.

It’s not “really” old but nothing we haven’t heard today. Be nice.

I wasn't trying to be mean. I'm skeptical whether it's still relevant. The administration isn't known for keeping promises.

If Pence is truly serious abut this issue, he can tame the man child in the Oval Office. Remember his remarks to Trump after the tax bill? He can give Trump a blow job of compliments and get him to sign whatever. Hell he would be able to convince him to sign a clean HOPE Act let alone a DREAM Act.

If Pence was serious, he would have sent a reasonable proposal resembling Flake's bill from the White House and we wouldn't be freaking out right now.

Drumpf is an idiot though. Pence could give him a 10 page legalization bill and tell him that if he signs this, then the big beautiful wall will be built and he'll sign it. He won't read a thing.

i honestly would take Pence right now bcuz he kept his word to Flake.

Trump is such a fucken wild card that can derail any deal.

w/ Pence i know he wont be asking for shit like a $33 billion wall, end of chain migration, etc.

Pence will go with what the GOP Congress offers like W. Bush.

Pence would definitely go along with his party. They’re worried long term and right now long term is not looking good for them because of Trump. I know that that huge list of demands looks scary but, in reality, the majority of that shit is not fully supported by Republicans. When Obama was President a lot of Republicans talked so much shit but now that it’s show time for them it’s funny that a lot of them are backing away from extreme postures. They know that they’re a dying party if they keep pushing away minorities and immigrants. The damage that Trump is doing to them will definitely manifest itself sooner than later.

Over DACA, i wouldn’t be surprised if Republicans end up breaking with Trump and allow for a bill with border security to come up for a vote. It could definitely pass with a veto proof majority. This is an issue that will hurt them in the upcoming midterm elections if they fail to do nothing. Many of the Republicans supporting a DACA fix are in danger of losing their seat to a Democrat. I just can’t see them giving Democrats fuel to take back the house and senate.
