The Republicans are holding back daca talks because they want 90% of their priorities in exchange for Dreamer legislation. Leadership is holding us hostage thanks to trump. If Dream Act were to be put on the floor I think it would pass. Just some crazy members holding stuff up

And those are just the problems for Republicans in the Senate.

“In the House, they cannot pass a bill without Democratic support,” Schumer recently suggested. “They have divisions on the Republican side between the defense hawks. The deficit hawks. The people who want a lot of (disaster) money for Texas and Florida. So that gives the House Democrats leverage.”


Democrats want the shutdown to happen in the house because of all the liberal and blue districts. It’s easier for them to win re-election / shutdown govt.

This is the squeeze you’re going to see in the coming weeks. Yes — many Republicans want a DACA deal. But there is a healthy pocket — i’d goes between 30-50 House Rs — who want nothing to do with a deal.

That's the problem. Those that don't want the deal are the ones actively pursing a wall + entire wish list of the alt-right. They would rather have no wall than DACA compromise.

I see it as even Steven king sees there’s a deal.....we don’t need all of them, just the ones who want to see a deal.

Next week is crucial. They cant just do nothing about it there will be some sort of relief atleast.....
