Schumer withdraws offer to boost funds for Trump's border wall: report

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) has reportedly withdrawn an offer he previously made regarding funding for President Trump's border wall.

Schumer told the White House through an aide that he was withdrawing the offer to give more than $1.6 billion in funding for Trump's proposed borer wall, Politico reported.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) said Schumer "took it off."

Obviously this is a negotiating tactic. No one will actually believe it though, once you give in on a demand, everyone knows what you're willing to give.

What is sure though, is that there will not be a bill that gets signed by February 8. They may get something through the Senate, but it will die in the house.

I find it hard to believe that this is the Democrats' best plan. It's depressing.
