Retweeted Karen Tumlin (@KarenTumlin):

Update for folks w/ #daca: Judge Hanen in Texas has set a court hearing on July 17 on Texas's lawsuit challenging the DACA program. To be clear, the court orders requiring the Trump admin. to accept DACA renewal applications remain in place & renewals are available. #HereToStay

Just a hearing. Final decision will be all the way up to the Supreme Court. IMO next year.

Here comes Fucking Judge Hanen again, this fucking evil .

Only thing worries me is that if this judge issues injunction to order USCIS to stop granting all future DACA renewal and work permits. What will happen the pending applications ? will they be rejected?

It's kind of confusing because the injunctions issued by 3 federal judges are still remained in place.

I think the other rulings would supersede Hanen's ruling, especially those coming from the circuit courts.

Regardless, the purpose of the lawsuit was exactly this, to have a split within the courts and have the Supreme Court rush the DACA issue. All while Republicans hold the House so the conservative faction has the upper hand on any potential DACA deal.
