Trump calls on Dems to pass immigration laws: 'Don't RESIST'

President Trump demanded on Sunday that Democrats “fix” immigration laws in the U.S. and pass laws to tighten the southern border.

“Don’t RESIST. We are doing a far better job than Bush and Obama, but we need strength and security at the Border!” Trump tweeted. “Cannot accept all of the people trying to break into our Country. Strong Borders, No Crime!”

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) said Sunday that President Trump’s constant attacks on Democrats’ immigration views undermine efforts to broker a deal for reform on the issue.

“Congress has to fix this. And what’s bothersome is the president’s rhetoric about the Democrats and their unwillingness to have any type of border security or control,” Flake said on ABC’s “This Week.”
