Border Checkpoints in Florida: Key West

Anyone ever been to key west? Traveling with my US Citizen brother, and my father who has a pending U-Visa application: He has a valid Real ID drivers license from Texas.

Any problems we could encounter?

No, he shouldnt have a problem. All they will ask is for valid id and thats it

I did not go to Key West, but to Key Biscayne and Virginia Key. It is very peaceful and beautiful in the Keys. You will definitely enjoy. Don't forget to go on one of the sunset cruises.

I was in Key West a couple of months ago and went for the first time a little over a year ago. There are no checkpoints, at least none that I went through, getting to Key West.

The drive is long ~3.5 hours from Miami. It's nice and scenic if you drive in the day time. I drove back at night and almost fell asleep...you cant see much and the ride is repetitive.

When you're there, definitely hit up Duval Street. Always happening. Enjoy.

Got back from Key West/Florida: Miami and Orlando a couple days back.

No problems, smooth sailing, and had a fun time. People are really nice in Florida. Cubanos in Miami a f-ing good.

Drove therefrom Miami many times and never encountered border patrol. What border exactly would they be patrolling??
