Trump on border wall funding: ‘This would be a very good time to do a shutdown’

The House’s Department of Homeland Security bill has $5 billion in border wall funding and the Senate has $1.6 billion. Though Democrats stress they want to secure the border, they’ve bristled at allowing a concrete structure or including more funding without a broader immigration deal.

Yeah yet no one is even mentioning DACA. They will use the caravan as excuse claiming we are the reason for the Caravan.

Hopefully Graham will step in and suggest it again now that he is in the judiciary committee.

I think they know better than to acquiesce to the man baby's demands without something substantial in return. And as far as there being no mention of DACA right now, I think it is too early to tell in that regard. What else are they going to trade him? Healthcare repeals?

What remains of the ACA cannot be/ won't be repealed with the incoming House being in Democrat control. So, it'll be DACA in exchange for wall funding deal if anything gets done at all.

Democrats will make a deal to help the caravan in exchange of the border wall and forget about us. They will say they will help dreamers in 2020

I think this is a good time to cut a DACA deal. Both sides can take credit for coming together and passing protection. However, we all know politics don't work this way
