DACA recipients would pay an additional $275 every two years to renew their legal permits under the new DHS proposal, in addition to the $495 required for filing.

Asylum seekers would pay a $50 application fee for the first time under the proposal, the Wall Street Journal reports — making the U.S. "one of the few countries in the world to attach a fee to humanitarian protections."

Those applying to become U.S. citizens would pay $1,170 to apply, instead of $640, per the proposal — an 83% price increase.

Asylum applicants "with incomes under the federal poverty line" would pay a higher citizenship fee under the new proposal, per the WSJ.

guess i'll be sending mine in a yr earlier

I love how they increase price to become a U.S. citizen by 83% when there are lines already waiting for like 10 years. It's not like they going to work faster.

This is just a proposal but if anything it should give us some reassurance Trump can’t end daca as much he wants to

This either means that they believe DACA won’t be rescinded or this is a money grab before it is.

So basically it doesn't mean anything at all.

Lol trying to make money of us before DACA is over. And that new citizenship fee is all about preventing new immigrants from becoming citizens so they can’t vote Dem... as 3/4 of new immigrants vote for the Democratic Party. Typical dirty Stephen Miller trying to be smart crap.
