It must be election time because they are bringing up symbolic bills with 0 chances of actually passing. We all know this is DOA. GOP won't get into serious talks regarding immigration because they feel they will have the house, senate, and white house next election cycle. They will have the advantage then

It's so predictable ... it's laughable.

Zero chances of passing the Senate but it will score them a few liberal votes in their home districts and that's all politicians care about at the end of the day- job security

This is the most common-sense thing to do. Britain did it; Spain did it; France did it; Australia/NZ did it, especially for essential workers!!! It is a positive economic, social, educational, and humane gain for both the countries and the recipients.

Right-wingers are so myopic in their bigotry and hate, they cannot see the forest for the trees.
Durbin, Schumer, and Pelosi are so corrupt, they lack the courage to act.

If the Republicans had the same power and this was something like an Abortion ban or immigration ban, they would have all got together and end the filibuster and pass it.

That's exactly what they plan to do and will be ready at the onset.
Something weird happened with Biden's admin: they were super proactive in Spring 2021 towards immigration then abruptly stopped taking actionable steps. Illinois, California, Florida, Texas, and NY are all heavily dependent on agriculture, and I think Congressional leaders from these states regardless of party are compromised by corruption.

Why arent' Dreamers out there protesting and demanding meaningful action?? Warehouse workers risk far mor for an Amazon job, yet those with DACA and TPS sit around feeling like it's too much to ask to continue pushing for change.

Look at the Starbucks' organizers!! Each store has a small amount of employees, and just unionized the 200 store. If anyone here is a union member by job, demand that your labor org does not endorse politicians on your name who do not support a legalization program.

Also, we need healthcare for everyone.
Fall is not looking good with Covid, Monkeypox, and now Polio, plus the wave of mass disability that long-Covid is creating.
