*Chance to swamp Obama suggestion box w/ DREAM

Obama is asking us for our suggestions... This is real. we HAVE to swamp this thing with suggestions that he needs to work with his homeboy Durbin to pass the dream act as soon as possible. C'mon you guys, seriously swamp this thing. All of us. Get your friends, family, acquaintances, neighbors, professors, pets, EVERYONE. Email this around... we need to do this. Im sure we can get him to at least think about the dream act this coming year. Move this thing up.

Please, he said he actually will look very closely at this.

Done. I submitted a good summary. I'm glad "immigration" is up there as a topic though, I would've been worried if it had not been.

I submitted two; one under "your vision" and the other under "of the people." It took me less than 10 minutes to submit them. I think everyone here can spare ten minutes to do this.

I sent something in, I didn't want to make it too long because there must be thousands of entries going in and I want my voice to be heard.
This is what I wrote, i believe it pretty much covers the surface.



Mr. President-Elect Barack Obama,
I believe the DREAM act S.2205 should be passed attached along an education reform bill for us students who don't have the chance to succeed and continue along with our careers and live normal lives because of our status.
I believe I speak for all of us when i say that those of us who deserve this privilege to be an American citizen are good worthy people who love this country even more than our own and we are in this situation because our parents brought us here young, therefore we should not suffer for it. We are willing to help this country and hope to influence it with our ideas and our knowledge, but first we need to come out of the shadows.
Please help us, as we would like to help you.

I sent him a message about immigration reform in general and suggesting that a practical way of going at it might be piecemeal, with the DREAM Act as an excellent example of such a way.

awesome, I just emailed the link to 50 good friends and family members too. I didn't ask much of them except to quick write asking to pass the dream act in 2009, it's been a long time coming. Lets keep it going.
