if you are 18 or under and are undocumented...read!

I'm juuust saying...
I remember a few years ago...when i was 20 actually, i was doing research on U.S. immigration and I remember seeing this law that said that if you are under 18 years old you can go back to your country of birth and reapply to come here legally with no consequences attached! if you are 18...you have 6 months until you can do that...after that, you are "consciously breaking the law" and you get the 10 year ban if you leave and try to come back. That law didn't apply to me...2 years too late =/...but i would have done it for sure, i had a strong incentive to leave. I realize that the dream act may pass this year and would kind of be a waste to leave...but i'm juuust saying...

Yeah this really is not good advice. You would be better staying around and hoping to find a husband/wife and having a child here. Then you could apply for a waiver of the 10 year ban and likely be approved.

^Uh,That is certainly not good advice either since one of the requirements of the waiver is to be in one's home country while it is processing at the local embassy.

Actually,I agree with what reaper2oox said.The entire point of leaving before the age of 18 is NOT to accumulate unlawful presence hence someone could immigrate lawfully whether it be a visa or permanently,besides there is always the presumption of someone staying illegally by embassy officials anyway.There would also be no 10 year or 3 bars to deal with so one could apply as many times as one wants.

No waivers would be required,however the evidence for the visa would just have to be that much stronger in order to overcome the presumption of attempting to stay illegally.
