Last year we came very close to our ultimate goal. We've made hundreds of phone calls and dispatched thousands of email messages and letters to congressmen and women. As the result of our actions and the continued pressure of hundreds of other organizations and businesses that recognize the urgent need for this important legislation, late last year, U.S. Senator Richard J. Durbin attempted to bring a version of the DREAM Act up for a vote on the Senate floor. Fifty two senators voted in favor of considering the bill, falling just eight votes short of breaking the incurred filibuster.

The media asserts that our next chance to push this legislation through Congress will come no earlier than 2009. In response, we urge you to take a stand against the status quo surrounding immigration reform in the United States by making a donation to sustain our efforts. Your money will be used to keep politicians aware of the fact that they cannot avert the simple truths surrounding the DREAM Act legislation. We are politically aware, college educated, talented Americans who refuse to fade into history without casting our ballots.
