As for me, I'll probably stay here regardless of DREAM. Maybe go back to the EU when I finish school. I haven't really decided yet. |

Anyone of those except my country of origin (Mexico)
If someone proposed to me tomorrow a visa to Canada,Australia, or stable European country then I would take it in a heartbeat. |

I would definitely go back to Mexico, my country of birth. I know everyone probably thinks I'm crazy since there are so many scary things going on there.
It is poor and can be dangerous, but I talk to my cousins and other family members often and they seem to like it. There are plenty of opportunites to go to get an education there. It is mostly older people that can't seem to get or keep a job. Even though I'm sure Mexico has changed in the past 12 years, I still remember a lot of when I lived there. I remember loving Mexico City, the culture, and all it had to offer. Maybe it's because I still remember and love my family in Mexico very much, but I would never consider moving to any other country before giving Mexico a chance. |

Obviously I will first have to go back to Korea if I leave here.
But I never plan to live in Korea long. It is not a poor country but the country is quite unstable with bad politicians. Economically alright and barely made OECD two years ago or so but it is a country where war can happen anyday with North Korea. *sigh* I voted for Canada. First of all it is a huge land. kinda cold I heard but I will get used to it. Second, I like its free healthcare. Third, more pro immigration than that of US immigration. Basically get over 67 points. I might as well have to learn French as well as my major field in college. Fourth, less crime rate, and many Canadians seem happy with their country. Australia is my 2nd choice. I wouldn't really go to EU. I will probably face more racism than here in the US. And besides, I heard they have tougher immigration policies these days. Just read what happened to all French undocumented. You will appreciate the lives here as undocumented than in France.(even though I am sure all of us will apply legally) Above all, I would want to become US citizen. So Canada is my 1st option when things don't work out by 2012 for me. |
Re: Which country would to move to if/when you choose to leave?
I've been thinking about New Zealand after seeing a post here, but Australia and Canada are two other countries that I've thought about moving to. But I wouldn't be able to leave the U.S. for at least another four years because of school.
My home country is not an option, since Jamaica isn't really safe outside of the tourist areas for foreigners (or at least those who sound foreign lol. I have no accent). |
