I agree. It isn't defeat. Some of are willing to wait forever for DREAM Act, while some of us are not. And just because some of us are thinking of leaving soon, doesn't mean we aren't fighting still for DREAM to pass while we are here.

I don't really think its escapism.. nor defeatism..

I think its about finding a solution to our problem. Ie. jobs, status etc.

If going to another country solves the problem.. i think its still a good choice.

my sister cuz of the status left. now she seems happy shes gone.

while i am still here in us waiting for it.

Everyone has a different perspective regarding to their circumstances.

I'd love to go to Japan. I am not fluent in Japanese but I am getting there. I know it wont be easy but if all else fails and I am forced to leave this country (necessity or deportation), I'll definitely give it a try. I'm not in a hurry though. I can easily wait another two years. That would give me enough time to at least finish up at my community college. And who knows what may happen within those two years. Maybe I'll get married. I don't know.

I couldn't of said it better. A lot of us have been fighting for years, and put so much effort into fighting for the DA, ppl like myself are getting older and want a better life, I know for me personally, I can't just keep living like this. You can't call it defeat, when someone wants to leave just so they can be successful and win somewhere else. So I to have been seriously thinking about moving back. but as long as I am here, I'll continue the fight.
