This is the final stretch! We will have a vote on a DACA fix bill within 2 weeks!

Which will then be stalled in the House.

Remember everyone freaking out in December that we’ve lost all leverage and going apeshit on this forum that the world is over?
Just chill the fuk out. This is the most progress and actual talks that have been made thus far. Did you seriously think the dream act would appear out of thin air during a govt shut down? You, catportal and the rest of the anxious Annie’s need a DAP shutdown. . Come back feb 8th.

fuck it, lets just take our chanes. Senate can pass the Durbin-Graham bill, then House can pass the Goodlatte bill. then they can work out the differences in committee. (most likely not) if it passes somehow, it will be vetoed by Trump.

idc anymore if it pass or fails, just fucking try. lol id rather die knowing our end is by a veto or we are short on votes.

How in the world are you going to work out the differences between Goodlattes and Durbin-Graham bill? Those two bills are so far apart. I know Durbin is trying his best, but I honestly believe he fell for the GOPs tricks once again.

You can't. People who think otherwise are delusional. Hse already said they won't be bound by any agreements made in the Senate.

It is not our last leverage, the govt will only be funded until 2/8. What I am now wondering is, how does this help Republicans? We can find ourselves in this same shutdown predicament three weeks from now.

Get a sense of reality, we're not in December anymore! This has been an outgoing problem since SEPTEMBER! The White House and the House want it their way or the highway! For anyone to think we're at better spot just because McConnell made a "promise" has to be delusional.

How many promises have they made to their own party members and then go on to break it? How many promises has Trump made? This is a party we can NOT trust, when are people going to wake up on this? Get a sense of REALITY. Even the House doesn't want to take up the Goodlatte bill and is as conservative as it gets, but suddenly you expect them to take up the DA?

To say this is the most progress just because we got a McConnell promise that's worth nothing when the White House and the House are not on the same page is ridiculous. Is the reality that you live in involve rainbows and unicorns? Wake up! These people don't want us here.

Is it the end of the world? Hell no it ain't, I made it without DACA and I will continue to make it without it, but I will not be delusional and say "omg this is a breakthrough".
