I'm staying here. Until they kick me out. There is so much opportunity here even if you are undocumented.

I won't go to Mexico because a business man in Mexico gets kill or gets shakedown. Let's be real if you have a nice office job or something else where you don't really call attention you can keep your head down and keep out of trouble. But if I go to Mexico and try to invest on real estate, open a construction company or do any business is very likely that I will call the attention of the criminals and I will be blackmail in some way. So it's better to play around the laws here that to play around the criminals in Mexico.

Now before you tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about. Let me say this I know many business owners in Mexico, people who owned business for 3 or 4 decades. Now they all find ways to move to the USA. Is not just one or two example I know hundreds of people in this situation.

The same thing with jobs in public service or the legal field; you are bound to get a death threat or approached by someone sooner or later. And, we know how death threats have a high probability of becoming reality in Mexico.

Oh yeah, don't forget that elections are right around the corner, and the hype is that the next Mexican president might be Pela Riatas from PRI. I don't want to be in Mexico if that bastard wins.

Re: Why don't you all....

I've been thinking about this route more and more lately. Although, my "leaving" is a little more uncertain. My documents are from the USSR, specifically the part that is now called Estonia, although my family is Russian. When the judge ordered deportation, he couldn't even decide where to send us back to so he said to try Estonia first, then Russia. It's not even sure that either country would accept us.

With Estonia, I don't even speak Estonian & apparently they don't really like Russians there due to past history so I wouldn't even know what to prepare for. And w/ Russia, well I've never even stepped foot into that country, so being "sent back" there doesn't make sense to me. It's a mess.

I've been in the US my last 19 of 24 years, but at this point I'm really starting to weigh the options between getting tossed back to god knows where vs. living somewhere where I feel like I'm some kind of criminal.

Why give up on the Dream Act? Its a matter of time before it passes. Let's all be patient.

No kidding man, my uncle who is a Lawyer in Mexico City makes more than both my parents here in the US (combined they make about 42000). Not that money is everything or anything like that... i'm just saying.
