NO thats what i say period... its just the way i think. I wouldn't ask the original dreamers to allow them to change the age limit in a way that wouldn't benefit them. But if i were given the choice to 1not have it pass at all or 2. have it pass without it benefiting myself personally well then I would feel i should choose the 2nd option and at least allow others to benefit

This benefit derives from the retroactive provision in the Dream Act. The retroactive provision has no age limit.

I wasn't referring to myself, but to others who are still enrolled or haven't had the chance, yet been waiting since 2001.

The point is that this kid is already drawing lines even before the vote in order to secure himself.

Sorry Alex, but that is honestly the way i think. If the option came out where they would not allow my age group to benefit from this but they would still pass the bill, then i would say go for it. Because in that case some of us, and the original fighters, would get to stay here legally.

Republicans have no incentive to pass DA in its current form.

Are you serious? Haven't you learned anything, Republicans never have an incentive to do anything that benefits people, specially immigrants for that matter. Look at what happen to Mccain, and countless others who supported the DREAM Act in pass years and now have fallen in that abyss of racism again, or maybe they never left and just wanted to screw with us so that they could tell us in the end "just kidding illegals". Look at what happen to the Health Care law, it was so water down that its basically nothing. You need to live a couple more years before you start throwing people under the bus, specially people who have done more than what you have done. Like the person who made this website once said, DREAM Act won't magically fall on your lap, it won't pass by the time your done with high school, it won't pass by the time that you graduate, you have to work hard for it, and well so far all i've seen you do is bitch and whine. So STFU and go call some senators.

I think you have a point. I would graciously give up my chance to be eligible for the DA IF countless others would then have a higher chance at it passing. I believe it is better to save a portion then to not save anyone.

Oh you would graciously give up your chance? Well then just give it up, so maybe like that other who have worked their ass off can have a shot. Let me guess your under 25? lol Stop it with that bull that you would graciously give up your chance, you know its not happening, we all want to be in front of that line. So just relax, go make some calls, and think before you post. Save a portion? You remind me of Russian generals when they where trying to take Germany, sent thousands of soldiers to their death just because they wanted a chance at victory.

I have a question: would it be easier for the younger dreamers to get residency another way? or the older dreamers? ( since they could marry and other options)

I don't understand why it's so hard to believe that some would sacrifice themselves as long as it was an overall victory for the whole. I'm sure there are other who would give up their chance.

by getting a student visa, u wont be able to seek any other avenues to become legal, u finish your studies and u pack up.

No compromise, u want compromise? through in a border security bill and sum e-verify crap, BUT do not try and compromise on other people's back; thats wrong, those who are 35 and came here before 16 shure as hell deserve it even more.

lets not step on eachother.

I AGREE!!!

The kid that started the thread along with a few others are straight up thinking of themselves and screw everyone else. Even though they've been fighting the fight for the last 10 years while they were still in what??? ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!!! Those who are in the 35 age range have been living in this country longer than you all have and they certainly deserve it more than you little selfish kids. What is wrong with kids these days??

Because no one would, its human nature, i sure as hell wouldn't give up my chance for stupid people whose balls haven't even dropped, specially when they are throwing people, who have worked 100x's harder than they have, under the bus without even knowing what the hell their talking about.
