A lot of Senate Republicans are voting against the DA because it is too broad, if Reid allows them to add admendments there is a bigger chance of it passing. Remember, we only have 53 sure votes from Reid's Democrats.

1. Let them lower the age from 35 to 25-26. I know I'm selfish because I'm only 17, but if DA does not pass now it may never come up again for years with Republicans controlling the House and Obama having a 90% of not being re-elected in 2012.

2. Change conditional green card to student visas with work permit, or any combination. "Legal" status is MUCH better than being undocumented. There are a lot of avenues one can use to get permanent resident status if one is on a legal status.

Partial Dream Act > no Dream Act at all.

I don't like the student visa part.

Republicans will beat the amnesty horse over and over again.

You have to look at the reality, legal status is 1000x than being undocumented.

If Reid is stubborn and does not allow any Republican admendments, the DA is as good as dead.

Yes you are a selfish toad. The ones that have been fighting for this wince 2001 would not qualify. how about not know-it-all teenagers as an amendment?

I agree, there has to be mutual agreement if we want our DREAM to be passed. I'm thinking the people that don't want amendments it's a pride thing, no offense to anyone, but we really must compromise. This is our last shot, and i know i'm on the younger side of the dreamer age spectrum but again an edited dream is always better then no dream

Let's raise the age limit to 20.

Well just wondering but what would be the lowest age possible that includes the original dreamers?

If Reid does not let them add compromises, everyone will get left behind.

It can't be all or nothing.

I think it's around 35, which is why we have that as the age limit now.
