What bit about 'field tech/desktop support' (i.e. being physically there, client facing), would lead you to infer that?

An entry-level IT position would hardly qualify as a "body of highly specialized knowledge" requisite for H-1B.

So now its potential for outsourced that is the issue.

*Sigh*

It's a client facing position that requires a physical presence, 8-5pm, for support; given the nature and requirements of institution that is to be worked at, outsourcing is unfeasible if impossible.

Field Tech would be a more appropriate term to describe the work since desktop appears to be synonymous with call center/help desk to you.

Even though the majority of desktop support positions, across varying organizations/companies, do in fact require physical presence too.

Its kinda' in the name too - [desktop] support - at your or someone else desk.

im not black and its okay to use good grammar for posts. im not denying that. but being overly verbose is not a symptom of high intelligence also

but to constantly type essays as replies to arguments and calling ppl who disagree with you or have different opinions then you as unintelligent and idiots in a sophisticated was assisted with a thesaurus is what i call pretentious and egotistical.

Cool. does not change the fact that we are all deportable and illegal even with daca. were in the same league as an agricultural worker who came here with no papers 2 years ago who speaks no english and never went to school and typing verbose posts and using ad hominem fallacies in ur arguments to people who disagree with you isnt going to change that fact

Because it's a job with no future. I tell it as it is. I watch out for my fellow dreamers and if I see something wrong I speak out.
