How you know this job won't be shipped to India?

Huh?

What bit about 'field tech/desktop support' (i.e. being physically there, client facing), would lead you to infer that?

Never mind, I don't even care to know either way.

An entry-level IT position would hardly qualify as a "body of highly specialized knowledge" requisite for H-1B.

Go be a pest on some other thread.

Go be a pest on some other thread.

I am not being a pest, I am asking a simple question since IT Desktop is easily outsourced.

So now its potential for outsourced that is the issue.

*Sigh*

It's a client facing position that requires a physical presence, 8-5pm, for support; given the nature and requirements of institution that is to be worked at, outsourcing is unfeasible if impossible.

Field Tech would be a more appropriate term to describe the work since desktop appears to be synonymous with call center/help desk to you.

Even though the majority of desktop support positions, across varying organizations/companies, do in fact require physical presence too.

Its kinda' in the name too - [desktop] support - at your or someone else desk.

Find another thread to gabble unintelligibly in. Thread is intended for interested parties only.

Those types of jobs are under threat of automation not outsourcing.

im not black and its okay to use good grammar for posts. im not denying that. but being overly verbose is not a symptom of high intelligence also

but to constantly type essays as replies to arguments and calling ppl who disagree with you or have different opinions then you as unintelligent and idiots in a sophisticated was assisted with a thesaurus is what i call pretentious and egotistical.

plus personal insults just make ur argument look weak. i believe its called ad hominem fallacies. these pesudo intellectual posts are frequent in the subreddit r/iamverysmart. I recommend it for a good laugh

Ever heard of remote login? That job will be outsourced or automated like someone else mentioned.

Dreamers do not apply to this job.

Go back to the narrow hole you sprang from Bee/Chy-, or whatever other manifestations you choose to afflict these forums with.

The magnitude of how stupid your assumptions are is beyond incredible.

The obvious facts such as where or what the position entails may be unknown to you, but no matter! Evidently ignorance of a thing is no impediment to pontificating authoritatively to others about it.

(I suppose their is not backing out - your frail shriveled tenuous ego has been snubbed! Hence the preceding litany of .. well mostly embarrassing, avoidable and often times incomprehensible string of idiocies and non-sequiturs.)

Grow up. Move on. Its just an anonymous forum.

If you have nothing of tangible worth to offer to others (or any value for that matter generally on these forums...), beside empty words, move aside for those who do.

In any case, if any locals are interested, PM. We can even do lunch or happy hour to discuss, on me. I'd like to network and meet others as well.

People are bottomlessly interesting - even a deplorable wretch like Bee.

Cool. does not change the fact that we are all deportable and illegal even with daca. were in the same league as an agricultural worker who came here with no papers 2 years ago who speaks no english and never went to school and typing verbose posts and using ad hominem fallacies in ur arguments to people who disagree with you isnt going to change that fact

i respect OP and his efforts in trying to seek employment for fellow dreamers tho. much success to you

The OP posts a job to help out fellow dreamers in the Atlanta area and I see nothing but attacks. WTH is going on in this forum.

Laterlater....thank you for letting the forum know about the job. Don't let the negative comments deter you from doing the same in the future.

Because it's a job with no future. I tell it as it is. I watch out for my fellow dreamers and if I see something wrong I speak out.

Look at how OP attacks me, who wants to work or be referenced by someone like him.
