How does being undocumented affect migration to another country?
Hi guys,
I finally decided that I want to move out of the country. I turned 21 this year, and I could no longer stand not being able to drive, get a loan to finance my studies, not being able to live a normal life, etc. Tomorrow I will be speaking with my counselor so I can apply to an Australian university. Now my question is (especially to those that have migrated to a different country), would living in the US as an undocumented alien (I have an overstayed visa) hurt my chances? I mean, why would a country accept a person who has a history of breaking another country's immigration law? Thank you in advance. |

I don't think it matters since your going to be applying as a citizen of your own country correct??
Plus if you have the money moving out of the country isn't a problem... Good luck... |

I remember researching Canada and them saying that having been undocumented in the US does not automatically disqualify you from applying to Canada. I assume it is the same for other countries.
