Democrats Admit Were Pawns

http://blogs.westword.com/latestword...immigrants.php

So they admit it. No DREAM till 2013 and only if the Dems win. They didn't want this to pass because they can now leverage immigrant votes for their win in 2012. So here's a kicker for you thinkers out there. Obama has a HUGE agenda of unfulfilled promises. DREAM is a controversial and very alienating stand point, and for him to try'n pass it in 2013 could mean no other compromises for the remainder of his second term so i wouldn't be surprised if he once again played politics with his votes and waited till his 2nd term lame duck session to actually help those who have been giving him his damn lead in any polls. Basically hes gonna pull a BUSH wait till its to late then blame the other side once again.

It would be nice if we could somehow punish these politicians but the fact is "damned if we do damned if we dont".

"No DREAM till 2013" that's for sure. There is going to be no DA/CIR in 2012. 1) Its a controversial issue. 2) Dems are going to use this issue to bag Latino voters to win presidential election. 3) We just don't have any votes in the congress to pass it. Only hope we might have is some sort of state wide relief. I am from NY and really do hope something positive happens here soon.

Dude,

Are you drunk? Everything you just said has nothing to do with the article you posted.

I don't get it. I read the article. Everyone says there is no way he can beat Obama, and the latino vote is the most important thing in electoral politics. So what is there to worry about?

There is no way in hell that the dream act or CIR could pass in 2012. Obama cannot do anything that would jeopardize votes for the remainder of the year. If Obama wins his 2nd term I feel that he will have the chance to pass the dream act, i mean hes got nothing to lose after that so...

This is not a news article; it is a blog article and therefore most likely biased.
My biased opinion: no republican is going to ever help us. Thus, we should all vote for Obama once more; at least he doesn't explicitly say he wants to throw us all out (even though he's doing it behind the scenes)...a massive organized deportation would get too much media attention.
I hate to say it, but Obama is more on our side than any Republican.

Completely agree, blogs aren't a reliable source of news, therefore admins should move this to the lounge. Here is a quote from Rep. Barney Frank: "We are not perfect, BUT THEY'RE NUTS!"

Also, the title is missing a pronoun somewhere, which is annoying as hell

^^ or an apostrophe.

W-E-R-E = past tense for "are"
W-E-'(apostrophe)-R-E = we are/were
