Red-light ticket
Hi Fellow Dreamers,
Quick question - I got a red-light ticket in the mail today. The care is registered under my name but my mother drives it primarily. I live in FL. Can I fight it? What are the chances of getting away without penalty? Additionally, doesn't this mean that next time I renew my work permit I would have to state that I got a ticket? Should I get an affidavit stating it was my mother driving so my name is cleared. She has a legal license from Chicago. |
Re: Red-light ticket
Part 4, question 1:
Have you EVER been arrested for, charged with, or convicted of a felony or misdemeanor, including incidents handled in juvenile court, in the United States? Do not include minor traffic violations unless they were alcohol or drug-related. You're clear. |
Re: Red-light ticket
TexasDreamy is right, no need to explain that later on since it's just a ticket. I can't answer your other question about fighting the penalty since I don't live in FL. But at least you know that if you're stuck with the ticket it won't hurt you DACA-wise.
