What bit about 'field tech/desktop support' (i.e. being physically there, client facing), would lead you to infer that? Never mind, I don't even care to know either way. |

Field Tech would be a more appropriate term to describe the work since desktop appears to be synonymous with call center/help desk to you. Even though the majority of desktop support positions, across varying organizations/companies, do in fact require physical presence too.
