You mean approve your application :-) The wording on their website uses "accept" as soon as your application is received and there are no issues with it.

My status finally changed. Here is my timeline:

App accepted 4/15
Biometrics 5/5
Expired 8/17
Approval 8/23? It wasn't this way when I checked it earlier tonight.

There are some March applicants that got approved. And if they were truly working backwards, j would have gotten approved before the two people above since my app was accepted 4/15.

I was told to do the same thing, and my Director of HR did so, but I am currently unemployed.



My dates are very very similar (except for 8/17 expiration). Hopefully yours was not just a fluke.

I'm in the 8/17 block of expired EADs and I applied April 13. I got an access code letter and a biometrics appointment within days after applying.

I got a response to my service request today and it was essentially a canned response saying "give us time, and tell us when it gets past 60 days." Payroll is currently processing my final paycheck....

Exact same situation here. They're getting some temporary help while I'm out (terminated) but are assuring me that the day I present my EAD will be my day of rehire. All I can do is trust.

Damn that sucks because your EAD expires so late (relatively speaking). I wonder if you had applied later and not gotten stuck in that weird time period, you would have been approved by now..

It looks like the September cases are getting approved but the August cases are not. While I'm happy for them, it's such an unfortunate situation to be in.
