Some clarification. They will not disclose your social security number but will ask to confirm last 4 numbers and the previous employer will say if they match what they have in the system or not.

For anyone in Texas. I obtained my Texas Real Estate License 2 weeks ago. My application was approved and I passed the exam on the first try.

I've just been approved for my application and passed the exam about 2 weeks ago. I obtained my license and am now an active real estate agent in Texas =)
