How I got my BofA Credit card:

1. First I opened a checking account with BofA. (I used my itin, consular ID card, and student ID card)

2. A couple months later, I went to that same BofA branch and applied for a credit card.

3. I provided $99 as a security deposit for a card with a $500 credit limit that charges a $29 annual fee with a 20% interest rate.

4. Since my account was in good standing(no late fees, over the limit credit, etc), 9 months later, they gave me my $99 security deposit back and raised the credit limit to $1,000.
