I hear that the only valid thing they accept is a foreign license, and the international license is only supplamental to it, a translation. However, I've never heard of the visa comment, where you have to present the visa as well. It's is a big risk though. i know of a person whose using a foreign license and is a dreamer. I worry that he'll be asked how he got a foreign license if they find out that he's been in the states for so long. Will getting a foreign license fall under false documentation, and that in turn disqulify him from the dream act? I donno. Would driving without one be better then having one because that takes away the false documentation possibilty? Donno either.
Also i hear, that foriegn passports from mexico is more likely to be questioned then other nationalities. So i think that has to be factored in. As well as the officer that pulls you over.
As dreamers, we're forced to either take risk with possibly huge reprocussions or stand idle. My suggestion is find balance. Because standing idle is prisoner status and too many risk is stupidity. Gotta make a choice and live with it.
