Renewal is still pending. I've spoken to a uscis customer rep. Told me that no word yet and she just read me the same status screen, I could access. I haven't asked to speak to a level 2 representative. How do I go about that? Do I directly ask for one, as soon as a customer rep takes my call?
I've also emailed the uscis ombudsman. Explaining my case, that I'm about to be royally effed.
Based on personal experiences, do I notify my employer about the expiration of my ead? My lawyer said that I shouldn't and just go about my normal routine. But I want to show good faith and tell my employer. Maybe in that way they'll work with me. Instead of me, waiting for them to initiate the ead conversation. What do you guys think?
I'm doing my best, to be strong and all that. But so much is at stake.

Stay strong! Honestly I think they are waiting till people's EAD expires before they approve them. Mine expired 2 weeks ago and I was just approved on 3/16. My brother's expired last week and he was approved yesterday. I sent mine on January and I'm already approved. My brother sent his in on November 19 and he was approved yesterday. You'll get it soon. I think they are picking up the pace.
