I'm stuck in a conundrum here. My ead will expire next Wednesday, a week from now. 03/25/15.

No word yet in my renewal. I sent it 11/28/14. Received on 12/2/14. Biometrics appointment was 1/6/15.
Renewal is still pending. I've spoken to a uscis customer rep. Told me that no word yet and she just read me the same status screen, I could access. I haven't asked to speak to a level 2 representative. How do I go about that? Do I directly ask for one, as soon as a customer rep takes my call?

I've also emailed the uscis ombudsman. Explaining my case, that I'm about to be royally effed.
Based on personal experiences, do I notify my employer about the expiration of my ead? My lawyer said that I shouldn't and just go about my normal routine. But I want to show good faith and tell my employer. Maybe in that way they'll work with me. Instead of me, waiting for them to initiate the ead conversation. What do you guys think?

I'm doing my best, to be strong and all that. But so much is at stake.

My brother's: 11/19/14 | biometrics: 12/16/14 | Approval: 3/17/15
Congratulations to both you and your brother then.
I wish the best for everyone waiting too.

So this morning I received a text from USCIS tha said my name has been changed? Why? I didn't request a name change. I'm hoping this means they will approve my case soon since it expired exactly a week ago. I haven't worked since (just haven't picked up shifts ) my managers haven't brought it up. Though I do have a shift tomorrow. Would it be a good idea to keep working? I'm going to call USCIS and see what info I get.

It seems that those who applied around the holidays are getting passed by those who applied later

Stay strong! Honestly I think they are waiting till people's EAD expires before they approve them. Mine expired 2 weeks ago and I was just approved on 3/16. My brother's expired last week and he was approved yesterday. I sent mine on January and I'm already approved. My brother sent his in on November 19 and he was approved yesterday. You'll get it soon. I think they are picking up the pace.

I honestly hope that is true because mine expires next Tuesday & I have two jobs I MUST keep! I literally feel like crying because this EAD has open so many doors for me

i had a surprisingly quick timeline for my renewal. i sent my application overnight on february 4 and they received it/sent it to nebraska on 02/06. i had my bios taken 03/04 and was approved just a week after on 03/12. i received news that i was mailed the card yesterday morning and it just arrived an hour ago along with my daca letter that says for 3 years lol...

i was set to expire in two weeks and i'm relieved for another 2 years. my job was bothering me about it since last month which was starting to give me anxiety. (i almost want to quit now that i have the updated one because the emails had such a patronizing tone ) doesn't help matters that the ink on my new card is kind of faded lmao but if anyone has any doubts just e-verify me binch

anyway i lucked out considering i sent mine with such short amount of time, it really boggles me how some of you guys have sent it so early and done things responsibly/timely and have yet to hear anything. i wonder what's going on in the centers. it's frustrating and makes me worried for the next time around if there will even be a next time of course

things are looking better for nebraska though i hope those waiting are approved soon!!!!
