How have you guys approached dealing with HR and your team about your situation? I live in California so people are much more liberal and open to immigration here...but it's still an uncomfortable situation to bring up.

Hi Peachy,
I was able to speak to my manager and senior manager. I wanted to get my story out there and not be afraid to speak to my employers about this. Given that Deloitte is such a big firm I figured a solution would be to be transferred to a member-firm outside of the US. I don't know how sponsorship for a GC would work because I just joined the firm less than 2 months ago. This Trump win has completed freaked me out about what's yet to come and I was happy I was able to speak to people about it. Both of them were super supporting and even encouraged me to tell as many people as possible about my situation because you never know how and who will end up helping in the end.
I also spoke to the law-firm that works directly with Deloitte and HR. I got vague-ish responses because there's not much that can be done with my situation at the moment.
Were you able to speak to anyone from HR about your situation?
