There's a family friend kinda like that. College educated, and from what I understand came here with a work visa right out of college, was promised that the company that brought him over would take care of extending it. Then was put on admin leave until "it's sorted out", then told never mind, we're not doing it. That's when gang of 8 was in the air, and the cutoff date would've been just right. Took a leap of faith, but G8 didn't happen, so he's undocumented
