Since we don’t have legal status, but lawful presence, many important hiring discrimination laws don’t protect us. Just because we have a work card doesn’t mean we are protected from a lot of things. Employers can deny you work base on 2 year limit, they can even deny us work because we have DACA. I’ve had companies straight up tell me they need someone who can stay more than 2 years and even if DACA is renewal there is no guarantee it’ll be there next time or there is no guarantee my application will be approve. There is nothing stopping an employer from googling what C33 is or knowing a 2 year work card is DACA.
They can even subtle about it “this job requires travel outside the USA”
But nothing bars you from submitting an application, apply and see what happens. If they ask tell them you have a valid work card and don’t require sponsorship.
