Let's say that alternatively, tomorrow, Republicans get 65 Senate seats, plus the Presidency and the House instead. Do they pass even the most popular part of immigration reform like DACA?

It's obvious that Republicans have a restrictionist position and Democrats want to do something but have tremendous difficulty because of a myriad of constrains imposed on them by the rules and their razor thin majorities.

Those cynics who try to portray the Democrats and the Republicans as functionally the same on this issue like to think they are world weary but they are really engaging in facile thinking.
