I am a law student from New York. Get in touch with me. I want to hear your [our] stories of how you have cope with the rigors of law school and being a "dreamer", as well as your plans after law school both whether or not the DREAM Act gets passed. If you are studying a professional or doctorate degree also keep in touch.

Remember NO TIMIDITY, NO RETREAT

After I get my MBA, I will attend law school here in Vegas since the UNLV has a law school.

I know its not going to be cheap though

Hello everybody:

Sorry I did not answer you back. To respond to all your questions let me start by saying that I am pleased with all your interest in law. Remain firm in your convictions even at the face of uncertainty, confusion, frustration, and above all fear. Do not let this reckless emotions overcome your great intellect that keeps you fighting everyday. Do not be time, do not retreat!

To answer the last comment: Of course you can take the LSAT. The fingerprint is only to verify that it is you. It has nothing to do with any law enforcement purposes. Your passport will be enough. I used my passport too together with my college ID.

I am from New York and attend a public law school. The first in New York City. It focuses on public interest. Awesome school. In addition, the tuition is affordable compared to the nation. It has great clinics and certainly the top of its class.

I am interested in criminal law, particularly because many people have misconception of the "system." I either want to defend or prosecute. Prosecute because you need honest prosecutors who are interested in justice not just convictions. We need more of this kind as my internship at a District attorney's office showed me.

I do hope you guys do consider law school so one day we can work together as colleagues to attempt to fix this broken world we live in.

Ohh... criminal law, I remember taking a criminal law class while in high school, one of the best classes I ever took (I was the leading lawyer representing my school in a mock trial competition), the subject is certainly interesting and was responsible for changing the career paths of many of the people that took the class. If it wasn't for my passion for renewable energy I would have gone for criminal law instead of engineering.

I wish you luck fixing this broken world.

Both my sister and I want to attend law school. I notice that there are a lot of us attending and hoping to one day attend lol here on DAP.

I have a couple of questions. If you could answer them, CVLAW1, I'd really appreciate it.

1. How are you able to manage the pressure of law school and being undocumented? Does your status come up at all? Or pose any problems for you (socially, academically, etc.)?

2. What do you do during the summer? Have you been able to find summer associate positions, despite your status?

Thanks, in advance.
