Desert pirates basically shot and killed the border patrol. What the F man. Capture these bastards and kill them. They are making it so much harder for us who are trying to lead decent, law abiding lives.

The Mexican government needs to be held accountable for their grossly negligent policies toward its own people trying to cross the dangerous border.

More resources would be used to deal with banditos if the Mexican govt. wasn't so corrupt and if they didn't have a civil war in their hands courtesy of American drug users.

Yes but every first world country in the world has a part of its population looking for drugs. It's just reality. I think its Vincente Fox's fault for allowing them to grow from geiko lizard level to Godzilla level down there where they have more resources than entire countreis

You guys do know that the main reason why mex is going through this is because the president's wife's brother (brother in law) is the main head of a cartel? It won't stop.

Felipe Calderon (President) is trying, the real issue is dealing with local governments of small pueblos (towns) and ciudades (cities). Go to Central Mexico and the same issues aren't there, my family in Guadalajara and the F.D. don't feel threatened at all.

Near the Guatemalan border is where Mexico is stricter on border security, its their number 1 way of stopping cartels that funnel through Guatemala into Mexico.

Mexico's immigration laws are much harsher than the ones here. A lot of people from other countries, not just Mexico, will use Mexico as a method of crossing, don't think its just "Mexico's people" who are crossing the border. I know an Argentinean family who border hopped.

Mexico's border security is on the fritz though. To much corruption, Cartels control small towns and their governments. Military can only do so much, and to top it off Mexico's military is pretty dang weak, even weaker when sized down to tackle cities like Juarez.

Honestly put Mexico's "special forces" against a SWAT team from a small town the SWAT team from the small town will win. Mexico is very non-militaristic. In fact, their constitution limits military power, they can only deploy military to places where there is a declared war, using military against cartels is somewhat of a controversy, but accepted by the general public. Last war Mexico fought was WWII if I am not mistaken, where they performed join ops with U.S. Forces.

No demand=No business. Tell Americans to stop using drugs, then talk. Do you really think they said no to the dream act because a border patrol offices was killed? Dream act is about race...

If you really think it's that simple, you are out of your mind. Its like an american going into Mexico and saying "If you guys stopped shooting each other things would get better"
Believe it or not, some of it is actually Mexico's fault. Blaming it all on the US is part of what caused this situation. Both sides have dirty hands
