For those that don't know about the APALA (asian pacific american labor alliance), they are involved with a lot of labor/ immigration issues. They are having their convention on july 9-12 in Las Vegas, NV. Now the fee for students is 30$ to get in. it includes breakfast on the days, and a dinner on one of the nights. hotel stay will be @ Bally's Hotel & Casino (on the strip) for 100$ a night (Special APALA price), this is a double occupancy room might i add, and that price on the weekend, is a really really good price in vegas. anyways its a really important convention, some of the issues discussed will be on immigration reform and the dream act.
