According to this article, the enforcement first aproach is all a part of Obama's plan for comprehensive reform. I doubt if this is the best aproach, but then again, who cares as longs as it works out for everyone in the end.

That's all I want. It needs to happen this year.

Kinda figured that was Obama's plan. Sneaky. Sacrifices will need to be made but the long term outcome is in our favor!

Agreed, Obama wouldn't just take the "enforcement only" approach. He personally supports CIR, and he has campaign promises to keep. Although I feel for those affected by this approach, I think it's necessary in order to convince the public and Congress that this is needed post haste.

I was watching CNN yesterday and they were talking how about health care is not that important right now. Obama needs to focus on job creation and getting more people to put money into system and not just brainless spending hoping that things turn better.

The unique biometric markers are a joke as we have seen in the case of Japan. I also do not see how this policy will, as the article states, protect our most vulnerable workers. Our most vulnerable workers are those who are low skilled. If we want to protect them then we need to get them educated.

Sometimes I wonder how politicians and the media get away with such shitty ass logic. It is sad and funny really.

My reading comprehension isn't very good, so what's going on here? Is this a plan to kick out all out-of-status low skilled workers, weed out some, or have a bargaining chip with the conservatives so he can push for the reform?

Quiet or loud. All we care about is to pass the bill.

Also there was a big article about community colleges and how it will help the economy.
