I met a US Senator a few days ago at a very prestigious awards dinner I volunteered for with the Democrats group at my college. It was Sherrod Brown of Ohio. I decided against asking him about the status of immigration reform. Instead, I just asked to shake his hand and told him how much I loved politics and how closely I follow the Senate. I was so nervous that I didn't ask him about immigration reform.

What do you guys think? Should I have brought it up? I feel regret.

Hell yea I would bring it up; Remember that we the tax payers (you) are his boss. Don't get nervous when you meet politicians. They are there to listen to our concerns and to represent us in congress.

Just say that you support immigration reform.

As far as the Dream Act goes, I understand that many are not willing to reveal their status.
So just say that a couple of your friends in college are would be beneficiaries.
