I have just recently joined the DAP and wanted to ask a couple of questions relating to college. I have been here since i was 4 and am not a citizen of the US. I have just graduated from high school in Alabama in May. I want to go to college to further my studies and qualify for the DA if it passes (i pray to God that it does) but i do not know how to get into college with my legal status.
So i was wondering if any of you guys would help me out.
I am a pretty good wrestler and was wondering if i could get into college through this sport. would anyone accept me that has a wrestling team? could i get a scholarship for that sport?
also, could i get an academic scholarship to a college?

this is a question that a lot of people have asked in the past, and certainly there are various answers that you may find by using the search function, you will probably find answers to questions you did not think you had.

Yes, you can attend college, I would suggest letting the individual schools know of your status as they will be able to inform how they expect you to continue with the application process, not all schools have the same set of procedures so you really should call.
You should never provide false information, if there is an SSN box, leave it blank, if the school tells you to apply as an international student, which they probably will, apply and any information that you do not have leave it blank, if in doubt call an advisor at the school where you are applying and they will let you know what to do. and you cannot accept any scholarship that has government backing, this is a likely occurrence in state college which is why most people in our situation look into private schools. You cannot accept in-state tuition in most states, and I think Alabama is one of them (but I am not 100% certain, just 99%).
You can, however get private scholarships, some academic scholarships and I think sports scholarships will be fine, however, none of them can have federal ties, and you have to be certain that they do not require you to be a permanent resident or US citizen.

I am assuming you are not a permanent resident either, even though you did not disclose that, and that your legal status is not... legal as you are hoping for the DA. if that is not the case and you have some sort of legal status then some of the information I gave above may not be accurate to your situation, but I would still call the school regardless.

welcome to DAP

Hey!! I also live in Alabama but I graduated in 2008. I attend a public 4-year university. Fortunately for me, my status wasnt messed up until after I applied for admission. The school just charges me an International student fee every semester. Its not as expensive as the International Student's tuition but its noticeable. I guess its bc i have been in the US my whole life almost. I cam e when I was 2, grew up and graduated in the state of AL. I dont know how wrestling/sports scholarships go but taking public school money is taking government money and you dont want to do that. Look for private scholarships, those are ok. And like buckminsterfullerene said, just call the school. They can help you out more than you know. But be careful bc AL is not like CA, TX, or other highly populated DREAMer states. I feel like immigrants are not welcome here and until now, I really felt like I was the only 1 from this state on DAP.
